Older yet again

20 06 2008

It has been quiet around this blog for a while, well mostly I don’t get out taking photos as much as I’d love to (which is my fault alone for not getting my butt in gear).

Yesterday I celebrated my 35th Birthday and I come to think, it’s time to change that a bit.

For one, I a toying with the idea of starting a small business, has something to do with photography, yes but I will not give up more info just yet. I will have to do some fact-finding on what it takes, what implications there may be and most importantly, how much do I charge?
I am sure I will write an update here once I am closer.
But besides that – I need to get out more, out of the house to take photos, something I really enjoy doing but my main problem (is it old age?) is the getting out part, not being out. I could say "It’s too hot" but hey, that’s Atlanta, deal with it….

So hopefully over the next few weeks I will find some more time to take photos.

Kennesaw Mountain

Last weekend I took a short trip to Kennesaw Mountain, for some reason I never went there before so just now found the time to explore a bit.

Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Parks has some good history behind it.

On Monday, June 27, 1864, some of the heaviest fighting of the Atlanta Campaign occurred here. Over 5,350 soldiers were killed in the battle fought here from June 19, 1864 through July 2, 1864.

I remember some long time back I wrote that I bought a HD-DVD Player. I think that actually happened some time last year because it was well before the Toshiba giving up on it’s format.

The offer back then was 5 free movies after Mail-in-Rebate. I totally forgot about those, never received them and have since moved. Didn’t care too much as I was not really planning on keeping the player.
I was very surprised today to receive those five movies in the Mail. I might just have to go ahead and turn that thing back on.
